Who we are

Honest Social is Honest Social Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17501485, with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Honest Social, and "you" means anyone using this website or our reporting services.

You can contact us about these terms at hello@honestsocial.co.uk.

What these terms cover

These terms apply to this website, honestsocial.co.uk, and to our client reporting dashboards, including organic.honestsocial.co.uk and any other dashboard we host for a client (together, "the reporting services"). By using either, you agree to these terms.

If you are a client, your signed agreement or proposal with us also applies. Where it says something different from these terms, the client agreement wins.

Using this website

You're welcome to read, share and link to anything on this site. Please don't:

  • copy our content, design or code and present it as your own
  • try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it
  • use automated tools to scrape the site in a way that affects how it runs for other people
  • use our forms to send spam or anything unlawful

The content here is general information about our services. It isn't advice for your particular business, and figures such as prices may change. We'll confirm anything that matters in writing before you sign up.

Our reporting dashboards

Access is by invitation

The dashboards are for our clients and the people they choose to give access to. We set up each account. You can't sign up on your own, and an invitation is for the named person only.

Looking after your login

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for what happens under your account. Don't share passwords between colleagues. Ask us to add each person instead. If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us straight away and we'll lock it and reset access.

Connecting your social and ad accounts

To build your reports, you can connect accounts you own or manage on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google. You do this yourself through each platform's own sign-in and permission screen, so you can see exactly what you're agreeing to share before you approve it. By connecting an account, you confirm you have the right to do so.

When you connect an account:

  • We request read-only access to the data needed for your reports, such as profile details, posts, video and engagement metrics, and ad performance. We don't post, comment, message or change anything on your accounts.
  • We use that data only to produce reports and analysis for you, as you've authorised. We don't sell it, use it to advertise to anyone, or combine it with other clients' data.
  • Our use of that data also follows each platform's own terms and developer policies, including the TikTok Developer Terms of Service, Meta Platform Terms and the Google API Services User Data Policy. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their terms, not ours.

Taking back access

You can disconnect an account at any time, either by asking us or directly in the platform's settings (for example, by removing our app from the connected apps list in your TikTok, Meta or Google account). Once access is revoked, we stop collecting new data from that account straight away.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete the data we hold from a connected account at any time by emailing hello@honestsocial.co.uk. We'll delete it, including stored access tokens, within 30 days and confirm when it's done. When a client relationship ends, we delete the client's dashboard data within 30 days unless we've agreed something different in writing or the law requires us to keep it.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data in more detail.

Availability

We work hard to keep the dashboards running and the numbers accurate, but we rely on data from third-party platforms that can change their systems, limit access or report figures late. We can't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not responsible for changes or outages on those platforms.

Intellectual property

We own the website, the dashboards and everything we built to run them, including the design, code, text and branding. Using them doesn't transfer any of that to you.

Your data stays yours. Your content, account data and the reports we produce from it are yours to use however you like within your business. You give us permission to use your data only to provide the reporting services to you.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under English law.

Apart from that:

  • We aren't liable for loss of profits, revenue, business or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Decisions you make using the reports are your own. The reports are a tool to help you, not a guarantee of results.
  • For the reporting services, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for those services in that period.
  • For use of this website, which is free, our total liability to you is limited to £100.

Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or remove access to the dashboards if these terms are broken, if fees are unpaid under your client agreement, or if we need to protect the service or other clients. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put things right.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your connected account data, we'll tell clients by email before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
